The Foster City Flash are the summer travel teams for the Foster City Youth Softball Association. The teams are a great way for young athletes to enjoy softball in a supportive and fun environment. The teams play in the early summer in weekend tournaments around the peninsula.
Foster City fields three teams, 8U, 10U, and 12U. The 8U Flash program is a non-competitive team which gives young girls who love softball an opportunity to experience tournament competition. The goal is to play in 3 local tournaments.
The 10U and 12U teams are competitive teams. The focus is on developing strong softball skills while playing against some of the most talented teams around the area. The teams compete at the Junior Olympic "B" and "C" levels. Tournaments are played on weekends in late May and through June, ending in the NORCAL Championship at Twin Creeks. The teams play 4-5 tournaments, which is a lot of softball and a lot of fun.
The teams are open to all FCYSA players registered for the Spring season and to girls from other cities interested in trying out. Tryouts are held in early May, typically May 1st.
For more information about the Flash program contact the league president (president@fcsoftball.org).
