FCYSA sponsored two Fall Ball teams that competed in the Jane Eymer Fast Pitch Softball League.  The Foster City Flash competed in the 12U division.  The Foster City Nightmare played in the 10U division and won the American League championship.  After defeating Burlingame in the divisional round, the Nightmare won a thriller over San Bruno to bring home the championship - the first Foster City team to win a Jane Eymer championship since 1975.  Congratulations to the girls and their coaches for an outstanding season!

2009_10u_FallThe Jane Eymer League featured teams from Foster City, Belmont, Half Moon Bay, Palo Alto, San Bruno, San Carlos, Burlingame, Redwood City and San Mateo.  Typically, 10U played doubleheader games on Sunday and 12U played doubleheader games on Saturdays.  Teams carried large rosters to accommodate girls who may have seasonal conflicts.  The season ran from early September to mid-November.

In fall ball, girls typically play in the division they will play in the upcoming season.  For example, if a girl played in 8U in the spring of 2009, and will be moving up to 10U in spring 2010, she will play on a 10U fall ball team.  This provides a great opportunity to develop skills at a higher level during the “off” season.

The registration fee was approximately $75.00 per player.
