FCYSA offers a variety of free and subsidized training to complement individual team practices.

In addition, there are a number of quality instructors in the local area that offer private and semi-private lessons (contact the league president by phone or email president@fcsoftball.org for more information).

Pitching Instruction

We highly encourage pitchers to develop their skills starting at the 8U and 10U levels.  FCYSA offers a number of free clinics run by Martha Vargas, who has been coaching young girls on how to pitch for many years.  Please see the FCYSA calendar for specific dates of pitching clinics.

Team Clinics

Jim Liggett, Carlmont High School Head coach and the most successful softball coach in California high school history, will bring his staff and Varsity team to provide a player and coach clinic for all divisions.  A highly recommended event!  FREE to all FCYSA members.

Catching Clinics

Free catching clinics for catchers in the 10U and 12U divisions.  Please see the FCYSA calendar for specific dates of catching clinics.

Coach Clinics

FCYSA offers several clinics in support of coaches.  There are clinics specifically for coaching at the 10U/12U levels as well as the 6U/8U levels.  In addition, there is a dedicated clinic on coaching 8U/10U pitchers.  Please see the FCYSA calendar for the dates and times of the coaches clinics.

NOTE:  All coaches are required to be ASA certified.
