FCYSA 2012 Calendar of Events

Friday January 20

• Final day for late registration for 14U, 12U and 10U divisions. Forms online at www.fcsoftball.org.

Saturday January 21 (Sunday January 22 if it rains on Saturday)

• 14U, 12U and 10U mandatory player evaluations at Sea Cloud park field B2. 14U at 9am, 12U at 11am, 10U at 1pm or 3pm. Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. Players only need to attend one player evaluation on either January 7 or 21.
• Small group pitching clinics with Martha Vargas at Sea Cloud park from 10:00 to 11:00am     (second of four small group pitching clinics).

Tuesday January 24

• Mandatory 6U and 8U coach meeting 7:00 – 8:15 p.m. Location: Sail Conference room, FC Library Community Center

Wednesday January 25

• Mandatory 10U coach meeting 7:00 – 7:45 pm, 12U coach meeting 8:00 – 8:45 p.m. Location: Sail Conference room, FC Library Community Center

Friday January 27

• Final day for late registration for 8U and 6U divisions. Forms available online at www.fcsoftball.org.

Saturday January 28

• Coaches clinic
• 10U, 12&, and 14U Coach Clinic.  9:00 - 11:00am at Sea Cloud Park, field B2.
• 6U & 8U New Coach Clinic.  1:00 - 3:00pm at Sea Cloud Park, field B2.
• Small group pitching clinics with Martha Vargas at Sea Cloud park from 11:00 to 12 noon     (third of four small group pitching clinics).

Saturday February 4

• Small group pitching clinics with Martha Vargas at Sea Cloud park from 10:00 - 11:00am     (final session of four small group pitching clinics).

Wednesday February 8

• 6U and 8U Opening Night and Orientation.  Teams announced.  Players, Coaches and Parents to meet at Audubon LGI room 7:00 - 8:00pm

Saturday February 11

• Free skills clinic conducted by Carlmont High School at Sea Cloud Park field B2
• 6U and 8U 9:00 - 11:00am
• 10U, 12U and 14U 12:00 - 2:00pm
  
  NOTE:  10U, 12U, 14U wear team jerseys.  6U and 8U wear full uniforms.  Remember to bring a glove and wear cleats.

Thursday February 23

• Scorekeepers Clinic at the Foster City Rec Center. 7:00 to 9:00pm

Saturday February 25

• 8U, 10U coaches pitching clinic 9:00 - 10:30am Sea Cloud Park, field B2

Sunday February 26

• FREE Catching clinic for coaches and players at Sea Cloud Park, field B2
• 10U 10:00 - 11:00am
• 12U and 14U 11:00 - 12:00 noon

Wednesday February 29 - Softball night at Armadillo Willy’s

• FCYSA fundraiser night at Armadillo Willy’s in Bridgepoint Shopping Center.

Saturday March 3

• Games begin for all age divisions.

Saturday March 10

• FREE pitching clinic with Michelle Harrison, 11:00am to 12:00 noon for 8U pitchers only.

Sunday March 11

• Hit-a-thon, picture day, free BBQ and special guest at Sea Cloud Park.

Friday May 4 - Stanford Softball Day!

• FCYSA goes to Stanford, 7:00pm.  Meet at Stanford Softball Stadium.  Night game against University of Washington, free admission.  Bring a friend - FCYSA players get to meet the Stanford softball players on the field before the game.

Sunday May 6

• Flash tournament team tryouts at Sea Cloud Park, field B2.  8U, 10U, 12U and 14U.  Times TBD.

Saturday May 12

• FCYSA Championship Day, Final day for 10U, 12U and 14U Divisions.

Saturday May 19

• Final day for 6U and 8U Divisions.

Saturday May 26

• Flash Opening Day, San Carlos Tournament
